Does your Menu Service Price include parts?
Yes, it includes parts, labour, oil and VAT
Do you fit original equipment (OE) parts?
Where original equipment parts are more expensive, we fit OE equivalent quality parts which comply with EU Block Exemption regulations and do not invalidate any warranties. If you prefer us to use OE parts on your car there may be an additional parts cost on the menu price.
Does your Menu Service invalidate warranty?
No, our menu service equals and often exceeds the manufacturers scheduled service, and therefore does not invalidate either a manufacturer or aftermarket warranty.
What engine oil do you use?
We always use a low ash, fully synthetic engine oil that complies with car manufacturer recommendations.
MOT
How long will and MOT take?
An MOT will normally take around 45 minutes, plus printing out the documentation, and your vehicle will normally be ready to take away (assuming a pass) within an hour.
What if it fails?
Depending on the reason for the failure, you may be able to take the vehicle away, have the fault rectified within 10 days and return for re-test. Some more serious items are required to be rectified immediately.
Do I need an appointment for an MOT and can I wait for it to be completed?
No appointment is needed, though we may not be able to start your MOT immediately if we already have MOTs in process. You may wait whilst your MOT is carried out, and you should let reception know if you would like to view the MOT taking place.
Do you send out reminders?
Yes we always send out an MOT reminder letter at the start of the month in which it is due. You can have an MOT up to 28 days before the due date whilst keeping the same renewal date.

Why are you specialists in VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda cars?
Bullen’s has specialised in repairing and servicing Volkswagen cars since its’ inception more than 35 years ago. It was natural to expand into Audi as well around 20 years ago and, with the commonality of engines and parts, into Seat and more recently Skoda as they became part of the VW Group.
Can you do all repairs on VW Audi Group Cars?
We have done the vast majority of repairs possible on VW Group cars and have a range of specialist tools needed. Just occasionally we may be caught out by a brand new model requiring additional specialist tools.
Are you specialists in BMW, Mercedes and Porsche?
We have serviced and carried out many repairs to these makes for the last 10 years, have acquired a great deal of experience and have the required diagnostic equipment. However there are a number of specialist tools which we do not yet have, which limits some of the jobs we are able to do.
General questions
Can you pick my car up?
When booked ahead, we can collect and re-deliver cars from home and work locations within 5 miles of the garage.
Do you recover cars that won’t start?
We will come out to cars and attempt to start them, and can either tow them back to the garage, or, where necessary, arrange a recovery truck.
Do you carry out all repairs yourselves?
We use specialist engineering companies to re-engineer cylinder heads / valves, replace internal gearbox parts, or test high pressure diesel system, but strip engines, gearboxes etc. out of your car, and rebuild after repair, to minimise your costs.
What if I have a complaint?
Whilst we will always do everything possible to satisfy your concerns, if we are unable to reach agreement, Bosch Car Service has a detailed Complaints Procedure, including independent arbitration, to which we are bound. A booklet detailing the Bosch Complaints Procedure is available from reception.
